Chamfer Rod for Gouging and Cutting is great for gouging out welds, removing unwanted metals, and veeing out cracks in castings (Steel, Cast Iron, etc.). Works on both ferrous or non-ferrous applications. Fast gouging and piercing.

Procedure when using DC straight polarity

  1. Hold Electrode in the direction of the desired groove.
  2. Use the shortest arc possible
  3. Position electrode at a low angle to the work piece (10° to 15°)
